Calendula Tallow Balm

To make this balm, we infuse our 100% grass-fed tallow with organic dried calendula. Then, we blend it with organic jojoba oil and whip to a light creamy texture. In our home, we apply it on bug bites, minor scrapes, scars, mild burns, eczema, diaper rash, and any other skin troubles that could benefit from the herbal properties of calendula.

INGREDIENTS:

100% Grass-Fed Beef Tallow deeply moisturizes and actually soaks into your skin, unlike a lot of other lotions that sit on your skin and leave it greasy. Great for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Tallow contains Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, and Conjugated Linoleic Acid. The nutritional profile is also enhanced by the presence of some vitamin A, E, and K. Tallow is highly compatible with our skin, and it has been used as a skincare ingredient for centuries.

We use the highest quality tallow from 100% grass-fed, grass-finished cows, raised organically using regenerative agriculture practices. This method of raising beef produces the greatest levels of skin nutrients.

Jojoba Oil (organic) contains antioxidants, absorbs easily into your skin, and has been shown to be beneficial for acne-prone skin. It also adds to the luxurious texture of this balm.

Calendula (organic) is known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties, and it's great for smoothing irritated skin. Read more about the studied effects of calendula here and here.

How to Use: Use dry fingers when applying and avoid getting any moisture in the jar. If you find it feeling greasy on your skin, try using less. Store in a cool place and use within twelve months for optimal results. If it does melt, just place it in the refrigerator until firm again.
