Your Use and Care Guide
Using your finger, a paper towel, or cloth towel, coat the entire wood surface. Let it soak in for several hours, then repeat again if needed. Wipe off any excess. Repeat this conditioning process when the wood starts to look dry (about every 1–4 weeks).
Our Wood Wax is fairly shelf stable, but if it does get left out in the sun, just pop it in the refrigerator to harden.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wood Wax
What is Wood Wax?
Wood wax is a protective paste that’s used to finish wooden surfaces, like cutting boards, wooden spoons, or butcher blocks. It’s typically made with a natural oil (like coconut oil) and beeswax to lock in the wood finish.
How Do You Oil a Cutting Board?
Your wooden cutting board needs to be clean and fully dry before you oil it. Dip a natural-fiber towel or paper towel into the wood wax and scoop out a small amount. Coat the wood generously from top to bottom and let it soak. After it sits for several hours, wipe off any excess wax and repeat if needed.
Is Mineral Oil Toxic?
Mineral oil isn’t biodegradable, so it’s not ideal for food-grade items. Whenever possible, we prefer to use more natural and edible ingredients, and it’s easy to make that swap with coconut oil for our kitchen tools.
How Often to Oil a Cutting Board
It’s recommended to oil your cutting board about every 1–4 weeks, or as soon as you see signs of drying wood. Oiling your cutting board on a regular basis prevents dry and warped wood that cracks. It also provides a nicer cooking experience.
Awesome stuff for my cutting boards!!
I got a small jar of this just to try out on my daughter’s wooden toddler knife and I’m totally sold. It was so easy to use and left the wood looking new!
Finding a non-toxic oil for your wooden cooking utensils/cutting board can be challenging! Saw this product recommended in a Facebook group and I’m so grateful! Just oiled all of my goods last week when I received the product and I couldn’t be happier. Also, customer service is amazing. I reached out as my initial delivery was dropped off at the wrong house and they sent me a replacement without hesitation. It was very kind of them as I know sometimes it can be a financial burden on smaller businesses/companies. Highly recommend their products :) I will definitely be a loyal customer!
